Free Program Notes

It was very cold in the rink and my fingers were almost numb and I had a hard time typing at times, so there may be elements missing. . it doesn’t mean that they weren’t done, just that I didn’t manage to type them in ! Skaters are shown in the order they skated and the mark shown at the end is the points for the free program only. The costume descriptions and/or descriptions of the skaters aren't really meant to describe them to you, but to help me remember who they all are in case of any questions or if I want to go back and look at my notes. . . in other words, they're not always very good .


CAN Braden Davie Start 1
Notes burgundy shirt black pants / quite tall / missed the 1st couple of jumps getting organized / 2l / there was a cam spin inthere that was quite good / 2z2t just hung on to toe / 2s turns 2t / flycam toe points a bit down but really extension is quite good / 2? / music is epic movie & mostly back ground / 2a just hung on to it / sit ch sit is well centered with pretty god pos / he's happy / 26.17 /

CAN Paul-Remi Poulin Start 2
Notes bright red shirt black pants / familiar epic movie / 2t / 1a / 1z / 2l fell / cam got very loopy / 2s turns 2t / music slows and a nice spiral into 1f / flycam not bad at all bit of hop to hold it / diag ftwrk is ok / 2s kind of stumbled out / sit spin needs a lot more sit / 18.84 /

Notes gold & black vest over beige shirt / 1a / 1z1l / 2s fell / 2t hung on to it / flycam is very slow but pos is quite good esp for prenov / 2l lean in air fell / cam backcam very slow but again pos is ok / 2s fell / 1a1l / cam sit back sit scratch / ina / 17.87 /

Notes dark brown top with gold dark beige pants / 2a lean fell / 2f2t / I missed a spin / 2z fell out / music slows and some chor /2l almost had it then fell out / 2f bit of wrap / sit spin is fast & very low on front / 2s / 2z2t / missed pick into cam spin and went sliding on his stomach / 23.69 /

Notes white on top black on bottom jagged design separating them / sit ch sit is very nice / 3t 2ft / 2z2l loop under rot on 2feet / 2a just did it / O ftwrk has a bit of a weird pattern / 3s had - rot then fell / 2f / 2a turns out 2t / music is pretty much background / Four Seasons / 32.95 /

Notes black velvet with gold design around chest / 1a is nice / sit ch sit with nice pos variations / 2s turns 2t / fly cam good fly bit weak on landing / flip or z didn't get off ice / my fingers are getting very cold & its hard to type so they're be letters missing when I don't press hard enough on the keys / 2l / cam sit ch sit scratch / 1f / 1f turns 2t / some chor to end / 25.63 /

Notes purple shirt with black / big band drums / series of double jumps not quite sure what they were 2a2t / jazz sax now / combo spin is centered cam free leg needs lots more extension / 3s stumbled out / 2z2l2t fell on toe / sit ch sit centered good pos / 2a almost had it fell / 3s under rot stumbled out / flycam very good fly & speed extension needs work / 26.44 /

CAN Michael Marinaro Start 8
Notes bronze tshirt with black trim / and we're waiting for the music / 2z / 2a under 2ft / nice split jump in 2s into ? -didn't see it / 2f / spread eagle good edges but body needs to be straighter / 2fhand down 2t / strt ftwrk is very fast then tripped at end went sliding into boards / a couple of nice jumps at end into final spin / 28.08 /

Notes navy shirt with gold buttons - military style / jump0 combo I didn't really see / 2s / 2z 2l 2ft on loop / fly cam great fly couldn't control the landing into sit / spirals / 1a / cam bit of trouble on cam sit ch sit is very nice / 2l / diag ftwrk is ok for prenov / 2f turns & such 2t / 2? missed takeoff / death drop lost landing / 32.36 /

Notes beige shirt with pirate on back / pirates of the caribean or someting similar / 2l / 2f high / 1a / flycam nice fly pretty good spin / lovely ina with back bend into jump I didn't see raving over the ina / spread eagle with lovely pos / 1z / lost edge going into loop & fell / sit ch sit is nice / diag ftwrk moves very well quite complex for pre= nov / 2l / lost balance & almost fell doing plain skating / combo spin to end is very good / he has some very nice qualities / 28.68 /

Notes red shirt grey pants & suspenders / 2z 2? bit messey / 2a2t / spin that I didn't really see - something else I missed - my fingers & brain are both freezing / very nice centered sit ch sit /2z2t turnout on toe / music is big band ish / strt ftwrk is a bit slow but fairly complex / 2a / 2l / combo spin ending in nice xft / 38.98 /

Notes gladiator / yags costume / 2f fell / 2z / 3s under rot 2ft stood up / 2a hand down / spread eagles / 2l / 2f / he's got very good height on his jumps air pos is a little loose & awkward on landings / sit ch sit is low & fast / strt ftwrk moves well / 2a turns 2t / sit spin / missed a death drop in there somewhere that was good / 35.89 /

CAN Ronald Lam Start 13
Notes royal blue & black tunic effect over white shirt / 2a nice but hand down / 3s fell / 2z2t / music is mulan I think / sit spin / 2l / music softens & some chor to match / cam sit back cam xft - front cam is very nice as is xft / 3t fell / 2a 2t hopped outof toe / strt ftwrk is with music an dquite quick / 2l turns 2l / flycam is a bit oopy but got it back into back scratch / 40.05 /

Notes dark blue shirt with black vest with multi colour ddesign on front / missed 1st jump / 2z turns 2t / 2s2l fell out of loop / butterfly back sit / fell doing nnothing / 2a2t / cam sit back sit 1/2w sit nice pos variations / strt ftwrk goes well with bluesy sax / nice russian splits into 2t / 2z / 1a / he's trying to work with the music / flycam bit loopy into nice fast scratch / 37.15 /

Notes black tshirt & pants / starts out moving very fast with ftwrk into 2f / 2z looked good going in got crooked in air but was clean / nice death drop / series of double jumps that I didn't quite catc all of / spread eagle to softer music / 2a turns out / sit ch sit is centered good pos / 3s stumbled out / back shoot duck insto spread eagle into spiral / 2z2t turns out / walley wally 2l crooked in air landed on 2feet into 2s / very nice combo spin to end / 34.54 /

Notes cream shirt with light brown vest / great back spin into fast xft - very impressive / 2z / 3l hand down sat / 3t fell / 2f / his basic skating has improved so much from last year & his presence on the ice is better / 2a landed on inside edge fell / combo spin with good pos bit slow / front lunge back lunge into 3s / 2z turns 2? weird 2ft landing / O ftwrk moves well fairly complex / russian split into flying frnt sit spin / 41.14 /

Notes light brown shades shirt / 2f / I missed something right at stat / 2a hopped out / 2l / softer music and a bit f chor into very nice centered sit spin / 2z landed on both feet / 3s fell / 2f 2toe axel/ strt ftwrk is pretty good / he's not really saktingto the music anymore / 2a very tight landing but stayed on one foot / sit ch sit front is excellent back travel a bit good pos on both ends though / 31.73 /
