Kristi Yamaguchi (wish we could see her skate more often)
Rosalynn Sumners (always fun to watch)
Lu Chen (one of my favorite skaters)
Karen Kwan (so talented, lyrical, and lovely on the ice)
Lucinda Ruh (her spins are out of this world)
Nathalie Krieg (nearly forgotten now, but had incredible spins)

Alexei Urmanov (like his skating a lot, although I know he's not popular)
Alexander Abt (love his style)

Anissina & Peizerat (so talented, original, and dramatic)
Klimova & Ponomarenko (my favorite dance team ever)
Punsalan & Swallow (always enjoyed watching them, esp. later in their career)
Silverstein & Pekarek (they had so much potential)
Usova & Platov (liked their chemistry together)
Torvill & Dean (in a class of their own)
Isabelle & Paul Duchesnay (such intensity and drama)

Gordeeva & Grinkov (still miss them so much)
Mishkuteniok & Dmitriev (wish their career together had been longer)
Bechke & Petrov (one of my favorite pairs)
Ina & Dungjen (always liked these two together, more so than Ina & Zim)
The Stieglers (what charisma they had, a shame it didn't develop)
Shishkova & Naumov (enjoyed this pair, despite their consistency problems)
Watson & Oppegard (I remember them as being exciting to watch)

Being a newbie to figure skating, there has only been two skaters who took my breath away the first time I saw them, and unfortunately, one of them's gone pro, and the other one's MIA.

I miss Tara Lipinski. The '98 Olympics were her breakout performances; she discovered artistry after that program. I would've loved to see she would've worked her newfound artistry around the amateur competitive skating rules.

tara lipinski, for her risk-taking.
Surya, for given french fans something to watch out for in the women's category.
Torvill and Dean, for making the dance category worth watching.
Ilia Kulik    for being by favorite skater ever and not lasting anywhere near long enough on the international scene. Makes me wish he'd lost the olys. Kulik/young Yags/ baby plush: how exciting would that have been!
