Who has won a World Junior Championship ( Ladies) and went on to win the OGM ( Going back to 1960.) or a WC ? I'm simply curious.

Also, who won a WC or OGM without medalling at JWC?

Thanks!

Those three ladies all won Junior Worlds? What years?

Yuka won in 1990
Michelle won in 1994 ( Irina was third that year)
Irina won in 1995.

About OGM/WC's who did not win Junior Worlds:

Katerina Witt and Oksana Baiul didn't medal ( or perhaps weren't sent) to a JW.
Sarah Hughes recieved the WC silver medal in 1999. They all went on to OGM's.
( Witt won the WC in 84,85,87,88 and Baiul won in 1993.)

Lu Chen won the 1995 WC, after earning two JW bronzes in 1991 and 1992.

Elaine Zayak was the 1979 JW champ. Went on to win the 1982 WC.

Other than that, I'm not sure.

IIRC Ilia Kulik and Yagudin were both WJC who went on to win the OGM. (If they were not the WJC, they would be in the other category)

I'm sure you meant to say that in that year Sarah won the World JUNIOR silver medal.

In 1999 Maria B. won gold, Michelle silver at the WCs. Sarah placed 7th. The next year (2000) she placed 5th.

The only Senior WC medal Sarah Hughes ever won was bronze and that was in 2001.

If you're talking about men, Todd was the World Junior Champion in 1988, and World Champion in 1996.

I have a question. Was Kurt a WJC? If so, in what year?

Yes, and Ilia Kulik won WJC and in the same season the European Championships 1995 too.
