My sister sent this - you probably have already seen it but if not, have fun!

I scored a 50

Dr. Phil's Test
(Dr. Phil scored 55; he did this test on Oprah-she got a 38.) Some folks pay a lot of money to find this stuff out. Read on, this is very interesting! Don't be overly sensitive! The following is pretty accurate and it only takes 2 minutes.

This is a real test given by the Human Relations Dept. at many of the major corporations today. It helps them get better insight concerning their employees and prospective employees. POINTS:

1. (a) 2 (b) 4 (c) 6

2. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 7 (d) 2 (e) 1

3. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 5 (d) 7 (e) 6

4. (a) 4 (b) 6 (c) 2 (d) 1

5. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 2

10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points.

OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and helps them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions and who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

Mine is 42. Interesting test. So Dr. Phil got 55! Hmmm....according to the explanation for his scoring bracket the decisions people in that bracket make may not necessarily be the right ones and is impulsive. That doesn't exactly instill much confidence in him if I was someone who might be seeking his expertise, LOL. I'm not sure I'd be asking advice on my relationship situation from someone who may not give me the right answer.

What a bull! I scored 39, and one thing nobody considers me as is "sensible, cautious, careful & practical".

Hmmm. #9 gave me a bit of a fit. I go to sleep on my stomach, but face down in the pillow???? Yuck. I turn my head and put it on my arm, sort of, which is under my pillow. So I chose D - until I added up the score (39) and didn't think I fit my category (the friend thing is so not me - I'll make friends with the person behind me in line at the grocery store LOL). So I changed #9 to B, scored a 43, and whew! Now I feel so much better!

I'm with you sk8er.........I scored a 33, but some of the choices in some of the questions didn't fit me, so I went with something that was close.....for example, I usually speak to people with my hands at my side or gesturing out in front.....42

I scored a 39, and that description is fairly accurate. However, I could have fit into at least one other category as well.

What does your favorite color have to do with anything?

I scored 47 (friend sent it in today) and I think it's accurate.

My favorite color is orange, followed by red. In this test these were grouped together and my score corresponds to "someone who's constantly in the center of attention but...". You could argue that wearing a loud color would put you in a center of attention. You could argue that white/gray colors would be prefered by a shy person, black by a moody/dark person, etc..

I wear black for its visually slimming qualities, not b/c it's my favorite color. Somebody who LOVES black is entirely different manner (IT).

I know what you mean about the slimming effect of black. I wear it for the same reason. :agree:

My favorite color is and has always been green, but I don't wear it too often because it is not my color. I just love to look at it because... well, I don't know why! It's just the color that does something to me. No other color has that effect on me.

Anyhow, liking a color and wearing a color are two separate things.

Some new hires where I work have to take a similar test. Someone said if you kind of know what kinds of questions you're going to be asked then answer the questions so you come out as pleasant, bright, helpful, etc. all those qualities that would make you a good employee.

First time (making an impression answering) I scored 39.

Second time answering honestly, I scored 44.
