Last December, the figure skating world mourned the loss of one of its most influential members. Mrs. Mary Louise Wright was posthumously honored at the 2005 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Portland, Oregon where she was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

It is to honor this amazing woman, that The Mary Louise Wright Memorial Figure Skating Exhibition is being presented February 27, 2005, at the Skating Club of Boston. The Exhibition, Silent Auction and reception will begin at 1:00 pm. There will be a donation of $10.00 for entrance at the door. . All proceeds from entrance fees and the silent auction will be donated to The Skating Club of Boston’s Wright Memorial Scholarship Award, and the U.S. Figure Skating Memorial Fund in the name of Mary Louise Wright. Contact SCOB at 617 782 5900 for further information.

Former US Figure Skating President, Chuck Foster, has generously donated items from past Olympic Games for the silent auction. Champions on Ice and Stars on Ice have also donated tickets and back stage passes, as well as apparel, DVD's and hard bound books. Stars themselves have donated autographed pictures. Not all donations are skating related, however, and include Skating Apparel, hotel and restaurant packages, ski trips and a special surprise package from the hit television show, “That Seventies Show”.
