How to upload images into messages without getting the tripod thing?

Don't upload images into messages unless these images are from your own web page or housed on your own server. Otherwise there are problems with both copyright and bandwidth theft.

Those Tripod things are a pain. Sometimes people prevent you from posting a link directly to the image (deep linking, or hotlinking), because they want you to navigate to the page from their own home page (past all the ads, etc.) Images from most sites, however, can be posted directly, using the [IMG] command.

You can try clicking on Properties, then copy the URL of the image from there. Sometimes that works. However, remember that the Tripod people (whoever they are) have set it up this way specifically to stop you from doing this.

The image is of my own creation, but tripod is the only place I know how to use... any other ideas where I could put my image?

www.photobucket.com is a good site, as long as it's a smalle file
