This news article conveniently leaves out the highly relevant 2nd part of the story -- that the judges made one error which went against Yang, and another error which went for Yang. When both errors are taken into account, Hamm's medal still stands.

It irritates me when that is overlooked. It's the most relevant fact of all.

The one thing I took from this article...

Is that the gymnastics governing body decided that judging errors were made. Based on the actions taken, I HOPE that means there is zero tolerance for "judging mistakes" especially at the Olympic level. No matter whose favor or not the mistakes were in. That's a stance I hope Figure Skating will take someday.
