:eek: I always wondered if those sort of things happen, and if they do happen, whether it does so often. I suppose it does...yikes.

I always wondered whether people fell off the ships, then I found out that it happens a lot more often than you would think (or hope)--mainly alcohol related incidents. :cry:

Rogue waves occur more often then previously thought, and have been responsible for taking ships down.

The Queen Mary, now docked in California as a hotel, was once hit by a rogue wave and nearly capsized(turned over).

The QE2 hit a 90-foot wave head-on about 10 years ago. I would've been writing thank-you notes to the ship designers for making her able to withstand such an impact.
