But the announcers referred to one player as "Quadzilla" due to his enormous quads. And I thought, in my somewhat drugged state, that this would be an excellent nickname for a skater. But who? Tim is rather thin and tiny, and so doesn't really merit the title, Takeshi, of course, is Japanese, but again, isn't really that large or intimidating. My beloved Evgeni is rather on the thin side, too, so he's out. Kurt? Elvis?

Who would you pick?

Hmmm, I'd say Takeshi just because at least he isn't anorxeicly thin like Tim and Evgeni. Maybe Alexei for the same reason.

The biggest quad-landing skater is Ilia Kulik. Well, he's mostly tall and gangly. Guys in singles skating usually aren't very tall. That's the only part of skating I dislike. Short men are bitter, angry and evil. We need to ban them from the sport along with Cinquanta and the ISU<img src="http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/bigun2.gif"/>.

P.S., Short, for men, is defined as anybody shorter than Alexei Yagudin.

Yes, Fetal, I was just going to ask you how tall you are. So you're 6 feet tall? That would explain that theory of yours (you're just "jellus" ). Short is defined as anyone shorter that Yagudin? Quite generous of you, since Yagudin <em>is</em> short.

If I had to give this nickname to someone I'd choose Yags, because of his power and consistency (just a few years ago he was called "the jumping machine"). My second choice would be Plush, although IMO his style is too subtle for it (Yags promises and delivers, Plush more takes you off guard). My third choice would be Kulik.

Goebel is too feeble, others don't have consistency, which is the crucial part IMO.

To me, Tim is "the quad king", but I guess you're all right when you say he can't be Quadzilla because he's so thin and is average height for a guy. He's like 5'7 I think. ANYWAYS... really, I have no idea who we could call Quadzilla! :lol:
