My deepest condolences to the Family of David Koch, an American businessman who lost his life while hiking down Grouse Mountain. There was a massive search and rescue effort for two weeks, and, after the search was called off a lone hiker - who had participated in the search found the body today.
Grouse Mountain is a beautiful mountain and a mecca for hikers, but it has very rugged trails and only experienced hikers can meet the challenge. David Kock was a visitor from Wisconsin and was not really prepared for such a hike down Grouse Mountain.
He was 37 years of age. So sad.
