"Pirates of the Caribbean"

Saw this flick today and by far the best action adventure movie of the summer. For you Orlando Bloom fans, hold onto your hearts because he is "drop dead gorgeous". This is the best movie I have ever seen Johnny Dep in. I thought he was perfect in "Chocolate", but this "leading character role" in "Pirates" was made for him. This is one fun flick to watch and escape in............ 42

Great Movie

I'll have to agree with you on this one Show. I wasn't too jazzed up about seeing this film but I was pleasantly surprised. The story is interesting and all of the actors turn in fine performances. Johnny Depp is wonderful in this film!

ok... my best friend wants to go see this tomorrow afternoon(though I may not want to go... one of my friends leaves for college tomorrow )

is there a lot of swearing and or nudity? :lol:

and is it scary?

I just came back from seeing this movie. ITA with all the comments. Johnny D. is FABULOUS in the lead role. Just might be his best work so far. This movie is FUN!

That was SUCH A GREAT MOVIE! OMG! I LOVED IT... when Johnny D comes into the movie on that main staff I lost it... that was just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny! :lol: There were so many hilarious parts... and what was cool was they put a lot of the "scenes" from the Disney ride into the movie! That was also a highlight... I HIGHLY recommend this movie... it was GREAT!

It was an awesome movie. Johnny Depp really sold his character, didn't he? Not only is he sexy, but he's a great actor too!! Orlando Bloom wasn't bad either. (Acting-wise, I mean. We all know how he is with looks.)

Show 42:

I saw "Pirates" on Sunday, I'll give it three out of five stars. It was a little better than I expected. Geofrey Rush and Johnny Depp pretty much made the movie, but I thought the last battle scene was just a tad too long. I almost fell asleep and it was very predictable! We knew all the main characters were going to get away. Hope this does not spoil it for anyone who has not seen it. If you really like special effects and long drawn out battle scenes then you will like this movie. Me, I am waiting for SeaBiscuit.

Lad, agreed, the last battle scene was drawn out....but do you smell a sequel in the making? (Love those swashbucklers). I am totally "pysched" for SeaBiscuit too...42

yeah I got bored with the last battle scene... but that pirate with the eyeball was hilarious! :lol:

I wonder if he ever got his glass eye? :lol:

I just saw this tonight - it was totally great! I laughed so hard I snorted. Repeatedly This flik way surpassed my expectations!

I've seen it three times, and I never do that. Of course, I fence, so I loved all of the sword fighting. It was a really funny movie. Apparently Johnny Depp's character was supposed to be a normal hero, but he insisted the character be weird.

I saw an interview with Geoffrey Rush, and he was asked if there would be a sequel. He said all along during filming that the movie was just titled "Pirates of the Caribbean", then right at the end of shooting, they added " Curse of the Black Pearl". He said that wasa a pretty good indication before the movie was released that they wanted to make a sequel.

my best friend and I think the sequel should be one that involves Jim Henson's Muppets

just could call it Muppets of the Carribean LOL

I know lame, but we thought it'd be funny

if dad gets home in the next half hour I want to take him to teh movie... it'll be my 3rd time and he's never seen it... however he's not big on movie theatres so I dunno.
