Who's Who in the Figure Skating Fashion World?

I usually love all Michelle's dresses. I loved her "The Feeling Begins" dress this year. But some of the others I haven't cared for. I harp on the gold braid a lot. I just really don't like the dresses with the gold trim. She almost always dresses so simply, so elegantly that the brightness of the heavy gold braid takes away from her elegant look. Her "Red Violin" dress is one of my favorites. Also the "Lyra Angelica" was a beautiful dress.

That is Funny. He was a very good skater. But, His costumes were never really that good. But, it is all about the skating right:D

Maria B.

Maria Butyrskaya was involved in or completely responsible for the design of all her own costumes, which I thought were always gorgeous and tasteful. I believe she studied fashion design. :)

quote:...I can't help notice that the one she wore for "Aranjuez" looks like the yellow one which looks like the red one which looks like the purple one and so on....

I know that a lot of peple didn't like the matador trim on the blue costume, but I thought it was nice for a spaish themed costume. After all, the alternative could have beeen this:

I had forgotten about the black and creme colored dresses Michelle wore. I liked those two. But it does look like they used pretty much the same pattern for all of them.
