Wow, they just mentioned that Sarah Meier from SUI just withdrew from competition due to injury. :(
 
Now poor Cynthia Phaneuf is warming up, as she is called to skate early (shades of Josee Chouinard at the 1994 Olympics FS wherein she had to skate early also due to Tonya Harding breaking her skate lace; didn't turn out well for poor Josee either). :(

She did pretty good despite the circumstances, think only one fall & few other minor little mishaps. Not bad at all, good job! :)

p.s. I think she is channeling her countrywoman, Joannie Rochette's, costume.;)
 
Just saw Miki's costume ~ GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS ~ like something out of Egypt.

Yukari doesn't have the $ for another costume, but I wouldn't want her to change anyhow, this one she has turned out to be MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!:thumbsup:

RUS girl landed all her jumps, and seeing as how the crowd gave her a rousing applause, I expect the judges to take this into account & give her such high scores that nobody else in the competition will be able to touch her. You heard it here first.:cool:
 
Love Leonova's programs this year. Huge improvement in choreography over last year's collection of jumps parts one and two and they show off so much of that attitude she's got in spades.

She is so charming! A very lovable skater. She is not sophisticated, but what a greater performer!!!! She skater from the heart! I love it.
She has great jumps. Got tired at the steps. But overall, a great job.
