Yeah, I thought the judging for that was quite fair. Rubleva/Shefer has the cleanest, most well-executed program out of those three. Bobrova/Soloviev had the best program and kept the theme really well throughout, but they had a mistake on the twizzles. They deserve the highest PCS of the 3. Riazanova/Tkachenko had a clean program, but it wasn't as interesting.

Scores get increasingly inflated as the season goes by (4CCs and Euros are the worst). I won't be surprised to see multiple 10s by the end of the season.

They are behind both D/W and V/M (GPF) TES wise. I'll wait to see their OD before I make a judgement on it.

I appreciate their attempt to do something different and be authentic but those costumes ... I don't know what to make of the dance.

I hope for their sake that the programme will be well-received by the international judges. By going by reputation alone, I suppose it will be.

Anyways, pairs is about to start and Mukhortova and Trankov to start the competition.

I like D/S OD sooo much! It's really original, so unusual, I always glad to see something new :agree:
Glad for Rubleva/Shefer! I hope they will go to Olympics, they deserve it!
 
M/T scores 83.81, beautiful program but she stepped out of sbs 3t.

Is teh pcs calculated correct here since the pcs for M/T is 44.94. it seems they have just added all the component score, they have not multiplied it by 0.8 for sp. if this is done their PCS will be 35.95

They can make a mistake or two and still win. For some reason the judges have not warmed to K&S yet, and that is a very good score.

Hard keeping track of the russian pairs as they often change partners. Lucky the ones who find chemistry in young years.
 
judges are taking ages to come up with the sore for vera and Yuri... they just don't want them to be to far ahead of Maisuradze and ilushenkina.

score are out 62.26 for B/L

Vera is such a lovely creature (yuri is going to be bald soon :p), and she has such a wonderful smile.

Why do you think that?

Kavaguti/Smirnov in top :clap: Muk/Tran second and then Baz/Lar, Ilu/Mais. Fair placements in my eyes. Tarasova, of course, has a lot to comment on, but I will never know....... Now I see Russians are speaking as much and as fast as Americans. Good luck everybody tomorrow!
