Joesitz, why do you think Chan will miss the podium? Stratospheric improvement, highest TES of the season so far, highest PCS of the season so far.....

No Patrick Chan?!
I'm assuming everyone skates his best.

He may be able to knock out Gachinsky if Patrick keeps his balance and doesn't Fall.
Joubert just may get a place because he's been around so long. (kind of like an award)
Dai is the former World champion.

In no particular order

Dance: D&W, V&M, P&B, and if V&M don't attend, B&S
Men's: Patrick, Dai, Brian
Ladies: YuNa, Mao, Miki
Pairs: K&S, S&S, V&T

The other thread where we say what we'd like to see is more fun ;)

Ladies: Alissa, Miki, Yuna
Men: Kozuka, Takahashi, Chan
Pairs: S/S, K/S, P/T
Dance: P/B, V/M, D/W

I'm assuming that you're listing in backwards in every discipline?

No order, actually. Wasn't thinking

Joesitz, if everyone skates his best, Chan has the highest base value and highest PCS. Likely highest TES.

Do you really think Gachinski is at the level where he can medal at worlds?

Dance:D/W,P/B,B/S and V/M if they attend, in no particular order
Men's:Chan,Takahashi, Kozuka,or Joubert
Pairs: S/S,V/T,K/S
Ladies:YuNa Kim,Miki Ando,Mao Asada

( Buck , buck , bucka..)..Okay, I'll take the plunge.

Men : Dai, Patrick ( or Patrick, Dai) , Brian ( if clean )

Ladies : Yuna , Mao, Miki ( but I want Alissa)

Pairs : K/S, V/T, S/S

Dance : V/M, D/W ( or the old switcheroo), P/B ... ( if no V/M , B/S for bronze)

I want to see those that will piss people off, even me.

Then I'll watch the aftermath from the sidelines. ;)

Based on what I have observed this season my podium picks are:

Men: Patrick, Dai, Taka

Ladies: Miki, Mao, Alissa

Pairs: S/S, K/S, P/T

Ice Dance: D/W, V/M, P/B

I do not think Gachinsky us at the medal stage yet, but he will.

Chan has the most potential to place on the podium, and even win it, but he tends to be awkward on technique. I think the Worlds judges will get him on this. Base Values mean nothing to me; they vary from panel to panel, and PC scores moreso. There is more to PC than the misnomer skating skills.

Chan's technique is awkward?

Why the confusion? You've seen his 3Axel attempts, haven't you? He has also had many unsteady jump landings in the past, though this season's GPF and Canadian Nationals show improvement in that area.
