2013 Russian Nationals Men

Thank you so much, let's talk, for the connecting links. How nice that I was able to watch on Christmas day!

he gets a 61 with 4T-3T
and Kolyada gets a 74 with a 2A

SHAKHMATOV has only 29.07 TES. Most probably - URs and low level of non-jumping. It is typical for him.

KOLYADA had clean, good skating. His TES is 37.50 - much higher.

Who cares about the empty program, "plushenko steps" and everything this man is a legend and I always, always have a great time watching him skate. The air of confidence he has is simply amazing. I have no words
Oh, and I think he could land a quad even with a broken leg:laugh:
give him 100 points

He could score 100 points with a flawless program, 91 is enough for what he has done today.;)

Lol! Last season somebody on Plu forum compared scores at various Nationals with international events. The result was while all Nationals were rather inflated but RN has the smallest gap between RN's score and score at international events, i.e. judges at RM judged less inflated. :)

GONGRATS to Plu! Gorgeous 3A, his spins were monsters, such speed! Very nice debute. Such a gem, especially for this lousy event. ;)

In the interview he said that the ice in Iceberg is perfect, as well as all facilities like big changing rooms, gyms, special warm-up area, etc. He said that he was operated on his back 4 weeks ago. He was out of the training process and now he is going back to his standards. He will reach his normal level by Euros. At the end when he was smiling he said that he would never wish anyone to skate as long as he does because it's really hald. :)

Plu SP. Seems like he was skating it for 10 seconds. Real STORM!

Thank you very much!
Really Plu's skating. But not his best.

His big interwiev.
Very shortly - after surgery he had a serious regress, he did not quad at practice. Only in Sochi (few days ago) he begun to practice quad.
Almost the same in English http://www.goldenskate.com/2012/12/plushenko-exceeds-his-expectations-at-russian-nationals/

Not so interesting, but in English http://en.rsport.ru/other_sports/20121224/637067269.html

Like I've said, even with a broken leg we will see quads from Plushy. And while this was not his best it was certainly very very good! His skating has a sort of excitement rarely seen these days. I hope Santa brings him good health(and a national title:biggrin:)

Yey plushy on ice!!!What program did he skate?:) I can't see videos until I get home!

and Arthur will not go to Euros? :(t

bush is really low..and menshov lost a great chance..

he does the required steps into his solo triple - the lutz -he could do more transitions like into his spins and like the kind of counter Hanyu does into his 3a

The judges must have been hitting the Vodka before and during the competition!!!!

Who were the two men (other than his coach) who were in the K&C with Plu?

Plu skated well, but imo something is missing in this program other than skating elements.

Could anyone tell me what Tarasova was expounding about after the competition?

I still dot get where the hyperinflated PCS of Voronov and Kolyada came from
we are talking about nobody skaters especially Kolyada who is a failure even in JGP finsihing 12th
and he gets higher PCS than juniors like Petrov or Samarin with only a 2A ??? is a joke

The older one is his choreographer I think. I don't know who the younger recent addition is.

Especially before and between the combo and the 3A there's really nothing except arm movements till the step sequence which is (as always) fast and well choreographed and executed with charisma and power but his technique in the turns lacks a lot of precision and his edges are just FLAT, how he can receive level 4 and +2/+3 is something that I really don't understand...

Voronov was the major standard bearer from 2006 to 2010! He has been Russian champion twice.
