2013 Europeans Ladies - Short Program

Adelina SOTNIKOVA (RUS)

Music: Capriccio Espagnol by Nikolai Rimski-Korsakov

3T+3T - big!

LSp
StSq - audience is clapping along

Fist pump! Happy for her.

Clean jumps, strong spins - she seemed tense at first, so it's interesting if this will be enough to beat Caro.

Score: 37.25 + 30.36 = 67.61 (PB), in 1st (out of 27)

This is a big deal. It's been almost 2 years since Adelina went clean in a SP right?

Yes! And is the biggest score ever at the Europeans for a sp:biggrin:
I can't believe she held it together. I am thrilled for her, she was so happy. Finally she has her moment.

yep, but I am 100% sure she will not get a clean FS and consistency
until then Sotnikova on my book is a certified headcase aka the Maria Butyrskaya 2.0

Sontikova will fall 2 times in the LP form her nerves

You simply can not stand not being right IMO. Wishing for a skater to fail is not very nice

Wow! And it's not as if Adelina had a super season so far and had a great reputation/momentum advantage. Her PCS were 30.36, that's quite high!
Hope this gives her more self-confidence for tomorrow :)

It's great for another reason too. I don't the Sochi Olympics to just be between skaters that we've been watching for the last 6-7 years. We need the younger girls to step up and challenge. It will make it so much better to watch.

I have given up on Sotnikova as she is too incosistent for me
until then she needs to prove she can be consistent, so far her achievemnts are a bit underwhelming
