Oh, take a look at this! It's related to Kurt's performance and apology at the 1994 Olympics. Fans donated gold jewelry and sent it all to a goldsmith, who created a special gold medal for Kurt, in the shape of the Canadian maple leaf.

I don't know whether this was a moment of tears for Kurt, but it sure made me tear up.
That's awesome! I never knew about that.

Ah, finally found it: Oksana's out of control tears after her Olympic FS. It was such a contrast to the composure she showed during her skating. It was like she was telling herself "control, control, control .... okay now I can lose it!"

I'll never forget this moment:

My favorite reaction to a victory has to be Rudy Galindo at the 1996 nationals. He didn't really cry but his sister/coach and practically every one else in the rink did, so I'm posting it anyway:

I nominate Tara Lipinski, Michelle Kwan, and Chen Lu at the 1998 Olympics. All three of them came off the ice crying after their beautiful programs.

This was probably one of the best-skated women's events of all time, and I was touched by the tears of joy all three showed after their performances.

For tears "after (and during) the skate" I think we can't ignore Tarasova - she cries with all of her Olympic champions, and she's quite dramatic in doing so.

I think it meant so much to all three of those ladies/girls, and they all skated so brilliantly.
