Karina Safina (Russian: Карина Сафина, Georgian: კარინა საფინა) was born on the 28 May 2004 and Luka Berulava (Georgian: ლუკა ბერულავა) was born on the 27 November 2002. Together, they compete in pairs, representing Georgia. They teamed up in the 2021-22 season.

They are the 2022 World Junior champions. They are the first Georgian pair team to win a medal on the ISU Junior Grand Prix. They are also the 2021 CS Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalists, and qualified a spot for Georgia at the 2022 Winter Olympics. At the Olympics, they placed 9th.

The team split in April 2023

Luka previously skated with Alina Butaeva, with whom he won two medals at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics: bronze in pairs and gold in the team event. Karina previously competed with Mikhail Domnin, with whom she was the 2019 Bavarian Open junior bronze medalist, and with Sergei Bakhmat, with whom she finished 6th at the 2021 Russian Junior National Championships.

Of course they are! They are Russians who skate for Georgia. They train in Russia, in one of the best pairs school.
