CAN Lin / Smith Start No: 1
Notes: orange tops shading to black / in spite of a fairly large height difference, they looked well matched in warmup / press lift with 2 rot - nicely done / thr 2s / into a bit of sbs ftwrk / sbs 2t 2t out of sync and she had trouble on the 1st one / sbs fly cam both had good pos & close together but got out of sync / 1tw / sbs 2s were nice / nice fids / ftwrk was pretty sync / one handed 1/2 press lift / pair spin ran into a bit of trouble and they were in their closing pose early / it's their first real competition together - only been skating pairs since July - pretty good skate / 26.01 /
CAN French / Cowell Start No: 2
Notes: red velvet bodice with black & gold trim / fids is nice 1-1/2 revs / 1/2 hip lift to shoulder he got a little out of balance but was ok / sbs camel spins got out of sync / sbs 2t he fell / spirals were nice / press lift came down a bit early / thr 2s / 1tw / strt steps were nice / sbs seq of jumps started with nicely matching split jumps then got a little messy and I couldn't quite keep track of them / 17.5 currently 2nd /
CAN Vanderlee / Early Start No: 3
Notes: white with turqoise trim / a little comedy to start us off / duelling banjos / pair camel spin is a little short / spirals turns and sbs 1a / fids with two hands / armpit lift with 1 rev / thr ? Didn't see it / O ftwrk as music speed up and crowd is clapping / 1tw / sbs sit upright pretty good sync / sbs 1f turns 1l / that was cute and fun to watch / 13.98 currently 3rd /

Notes: her in white with red poka dots him in red & white striped shirt & red pants / 2tw think she landed before he caught her but it was clean loooking / sbs sit spins match well with low pos & good sync / press lift to platter to star - nicely done (and not scarey) / pair cam spin / they move quite well together / spirals are ok / sbs 2f he stepped out / fids 2 revs little bit of work to get out of it but clean / 21.93 /

Notes: both in black her with lacing down front / tango / very nice 2tw / attractive spiral seq / fids 2revs / press lift came down early but safely / sbs cam spins match pos pretty good sync / sbs 2z he had hands down / pair cam spin got a little slow / sbs step seq moves well / marks not announced

Notes: her in purple & pink him in lime green / big band / 1tw is nicely done / sbs sit spins pos match well & good sync for most of it / his spiral needs lots of work - well extended but doesn't quite make hip height / very nicely sync'd sbs 2f - at least I think they were flips / sbs steps had some ineteresting move / press lift to platter to one handed star - very good / pair camel spins / 21.97 currently 1st /

Notes: both in black her with gold inset in front / 1-1/2 tw / sbs 2f / press lift with 3 revs no change of pos / sbs fast low sit spins bit out of sync / outside in nested spirals and pos matched quite well / sbs ftwrk is quite complex and in good sync / spread eagle entrance to very nice fids / I completed zoned out on the pair spin - finished a little ahead of their music / 23.93 /
