Also confirms once again how stubborn he is (sometimes to not good effect) .

All I've read makes me think he's a pretty complex and highly intelligent man who has his own view of his own skating, and skating in general, and he sticks to that as much as possible.
I'm someone who's been wondering about that 4S-3T combination for example but I don't think that it's just stubbornness on his side, he seems to have quite firm reasons on why he wants what he wants, long term. I think he will change things but only when his own conditions are met (whatever those may be), so in general he seems to be marching to his own drum, which I've got to admire. My hair is not happy with him, as you may imagine but that's a different matter.

Each country has its own learn-to-skate programs. And most skaters will earn badges when they pass tests within their own systems. I have all my Aussie Skate badges, and my pin for the ISA test I have passed.
