About Golden Skate
Mission
The mission of Golden Skate is to provide visitors with the largest variety of figure skating resources possible.
Objective
Golden Skate’s objective is to continue to supply the online figure skating community with frequent news, articles, competition results, and other related information. Golden Skate also strives to stimulate meaningful, educational and fun dialogue in the forum in order to promote a safe and friendly environment in which the online skating community can interact.
Goal
It is Golden Skate’s goal to build upon the existing categories, directories, and databases within the site. Golden Skate’s desire is to maintain the accuracy and frequency of its content at all times while promoting other areas that have been requested.

Barbara Ann Scott (May 9, 1928 – September 30, 2012) is the only Canadian to have won the Olympic ladies’ singles gold medal (1948). She was also a two-time World champion (1947–1948), a four-time national champion (1944–46, 48), and the only Canadian to have won the European Championship (1947 and 1948).
