Wow what a short junior ladies event. Usually they last forever.
Skaters like her do it for the love of skating obviously.
I think these girls and Alina are my faves for tomorrow now.

Mmmm. That was different. Normally when skaters do a "La La Land" programme, they have it as a medley. But, Sophia Natalie stuck to the one song.

There were 35 girls listed originally.
As expected, the two Americans, Yi and Ruiter at the top.
Nice surprises was Streuli and Jyrkinen.
Urushadze was a bit of a disappointment and doesn't look as good as two years ago.
It will be very interesting to see what all these girls can bring to the table in the free. And I expect Yun (who beat Young You at nationals) will climb too.
But how I missed the Japanese and Russian girls. Surely they would all have mixed up the top group.

But, what I said was rubbish, because I mis-read Kaiya's score as 55.50, rather than 59.50.

Okay I need to take a sanity break, but just two things about my girls here:
1) Ahsun's name is /asən/, the 'sun' is as in the big glowing orb in the sky
2) Seoyeon's surname is /dʒi/, it's an English J sound. Not /ji/, 'Yee'
I am kinda unhealthily obsessed with names and butchered names of our skaters is one of my greatest pet peeves

I mean, Queen Yuna's name was butchered her whole career, I-
Well, between the translation mistakes (wonder why Yeon-a became Yu-na) and the foreign languages, all names are pretty difficult to pronounce. Easier to write them. Even if ISU and media don't bother to write the "-" between the two parts of a name.
Edit: By all names i mean not only the Korean names. I still don't know how to pronounce Dasa GRM.
