The sixth of seven events (JGP Baltic Cup) of the 2021-22 Junior Grand Prix series will take place in Gdansk, Poland, from Sep 29 – Oct 2, 2021. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series consists of seven international junior invitational events during the fall culminating with the 2021-22 ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in December 2021.

So, Stefania Yakovleva will finally make her Junior GP debut in Gdańsk.

From what I can tell from the Announcement PDF's, Cyprus was always allotted a slot in all categories here. So, unless the ISU create a Ladies slot for Cyprus at the Cup Of Austria, it looks like Stefania not being able to go to Courchevel due to the vaccine issues has meant that Cyprus has lost out on one of their slots. And, hence, Ekaterina Luneva won't get the chance to do a Junior GP this season.

If the ISU were able to pluck slots out of thin air for the skaters representing Russia, they should have done the same for ALL the skaters from that were affected.

I believe they allowed other countries other than Russia to add spots elsewhere to balance the Courchevel withdrawals. For example, British women were supposed to be in Courchevel#1, Courchevel#2 and Slovenia.
They missed the 2 French JGPs but they have one girl entered in the Russian JGP now.
So I suppose Cyprus may get an extra spot in Linz.

Ah, good. Because it wouldn't be fair if skaters missed out because of things out of their hands.

(I'm just assuming that the Cypriot Fed was planning to give Stefania and Ekaterina a slot each, since they normally give their 2 slots to different skaters).

Another thing I've noticed. The Ice Dancing side of the team, Angelina Kudriavtseva / Ilia Karankevich, are now going here for their second Junior GP. They had previously been on the Provisional Entry List for Krasnoyarsk.

Have to say, I'm kinda relieved. It's never ideal to be doing back-to-back competitions (this week is their first slot).

I hope there will be some info available on whether audience will be allowed, too, since I got time off work to go...Would be nice to finally see some live skating after 1,5 year off going to competitions :)

Thank you for the idea :)

I've received the answer. It is still not confirmed if the audience will be allowed because of pandemic and that we will get more info from the page you sent.

Finally, we have the news! "free for the public, 50 % capacity of the rink, face-mask are mandatory".
I wonder how the capacity is counted - as usually one half of the rink is not available for the public anyway ;)
Thank you for the news. Great I don't need to pretend I'm a staff member or a parent...
