It's back again and there is much controversy. Apparently all references to Opus Dei has been removed much to disdain by the readers and references to Jesus' marriage has been condemned at the Vatican.

The movie will be blockbuster with this kind of unpaid publicity.

Mel's movie upset some Jewish people if I recall correctly.

Honestly, everyone can take offense over something at any given moment. It's too bad they took out the reference, but Ron Howard should've just replaced the organization name with something made up to keep the plot intact.

As for the bloodline issue, I hope they don't touch it.

I don't know understand all the objections at this point. So many people have already read the book and realize that it's fiction. There's nothing wrong with spurring interest in the possibilities.

I put this up there with people saying that Scar in the Lion King represented gay people.
