I love singers with soulful, rangey voices like Bonnie McKee- if you haven't heard this girl sing. She is everything Carrie Underwood wants to be- she sounds a little like Carrie but I like her voice better. No offense to Carrie fans because I am one, but Bonnie has more soul. Also dance-pop singer Reina has an amazing voice, like in Taylor Dane, Whitney Houston good... 95% of my favorite singers are female, no offense.

I might as well list them; Bonnie McKee, Reina, Shania Twain, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Lara Fabian, Shirley Manson, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Jewel, Faith Hill, Ellie Lawson, Nikka Costa, Tarja Terunen, Anastasia, Sylvie De Bie, Norah Jones, Bjork, Emiliana Torrini, Lara McAllen, Majandra, Maria Andresson, Alsou, Alizee, Bambee, Shakira, Anna Nalick, Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Bif Naked, Utada Hikaru, Natasha Bedingfield, Leela James, Keyshia Cole, Kelly Llorenna, Alanis Morissette, Kasey Chambers, Amy Lee, Gwen Stefani, and Rollergirl.

As for the guys; Bo Bice, Steven Tyler, Gerard Way, Billy Joe Armstrong, Chris Martin, and Clay Aiken...

My taste in music is fairly eclectic(SP?)....about the only thing I don't like at all is heavy, heavy metal, hip-hop/rap and really twangy country type.....I can take "light" country or what might be considered pop country and I can take some classical music, but rock and pop and even bubblegum are my favorites.

Tea Party, Cranberries, Sarah McLachlan, Cyndi Lauper (she's got some pipes!), Billy Joel, Sarah Brightman, Russell Watson, U2, Jann Arden, The Corrs, Shania Twain, Seven Nations...and more that I can't think of right now.

Although her music often bugs me, Celine Dion has a beautiful voice.

STL_BLUES_FAN, are you watching Rockstar INXS?

I happened upon it by accident and now I'm hooked. I'm rooting for either Mig or Ty to win.

Can't believe I missed listing Cyndi Lauper and Bette Midler! I see others' lists and they remind me of just how long my list could get!

Actually, I am not. To me, INXS was Michael Hutchence. Even though I have said "in no particular order", INXS would be on top. But, with Michael as the lead singer. When he died (7 years ago!), INXS said that the band was finished. They had 20 wonderful years together and 14 or so albums. Now it seems to me they are jumping on the reality TV bandwagon. I don't know... Some people at work have mentioned the show to me, and they also tell me that INXS songs are normally done by people who are in the bottom 3. So that means it is not a great performance. So, not only would I be watching somebody bastardize an INXS song, but it would be somebody with a not so great voice.

I should mention that last time I saw them in concert was 8 years and a day ago. It was wonderful...

BTW, I have to add Scorpions to the list. I can't believe I missed them!
