13 year old took up ice dancing with partner same age-Canada. Apparently she's pretty good says coaches. (though she loves freeskate too-ouch goes our wallet) Coaches, who trained in Europe and competed at worlds themselves 4 times suggested she watch some older dance-especially compulsaries from the past as figures were still done-ergo, their edges are supposedly better than now...they don't really have tapes of their own that are in good enough quality for her to watch without wrecking them after years....and besides, we'd like some anyway.....also wondering about Lake placid ice dance tapes....especially since our daughter really only ever watched Bourne/Kratz, Dubreil/Lauzon, Annisinna/Peizerat, Wing/Lowe...ocassional Usova/Zhulin but doesn't remember much so we're wanting some variety here-old is just fine-she's seen Torvill/Dean clips and we're just wanting some more stuff in general-DVD is better, but tape will work.
