I haven't seen it, but it is getting lots of bad review on rottentomatoes.com!
I think it is a great story, but this treatment looks like it should come on after One Tree Hill on the WB. What kills it for me is that this "epic love story" is the backdrop for a Gavin DeGraw song.

Haven't seen the movies but Wagner's opera has arguably the most sensuous music in all of musicland.
