So...the gold medal is a lock just by watching Plushie 2 mins in.

Certainly we all knew that didn't we?:p

This choreography does nothing for me.

So far it's another robotic Russian gold, but hopefully that will change when we get some trademark Plushy footwork
Footwork sequence-he's starting to put on a real show now
3F-doubles! It's not going to make a difference in the result, but it is a flaw.
Straightline footwork sequence- actually goes with the music :)
He's the best. That's all there is to it.

Congrats Evgeni! You deserved it...... you have worked hard and now I hope you enjoy the rewards and can sidestep any negative issues that can come with the top prize.

Can Johnny really do it?! Will Buttle conquer his nerves? Will Joubert pan out? What about Lambiel?

May all the men skate their best -

Wow, what a slow and boring performance. He was cautious and did not skate anywhere near his best. They'll still give him outrageously high marks.

GAG.

Look at the spread in points ... Plushy: 258.33; Toth: 145.47 ... that's insane! Interesting to be able to quantify the difference between the skaters. Not that that is truly possible to do, but the difference is more striking than under 6.0.

Yeah I thought it was definitely kinda slow. It was certainly no Yagudin in '02, but still VERY impressive!

Lambiel -

Only 2 axel? (added later - he fell on 3 ax)

***SuPER 4 -3 - 2 just like Plush!!!

3 loop "just...." (held on?)

wonderful expression

2nd quad...didn't happen...

"Courage - 3 toe after 3 flip, almost from standstill." Still has chance for medal but this last minute must be good.

3 sal-2 toe "fighting hard"

fabulous spins - big cheers from crowd

"Great finish - the spins are his calling card." "Steam went out of him after fell in 3 axel....then after missed 2nd quad. Will he be able to medal?"

Haven't seen it yet, but I'd say Evan must have had a great program to be only 15pts behind. Especially given Plushy had a 10 point lead over #2 in the SP.

I must disagree completely.

I'm just quoting the Eurosports commentators from the UK....

Will Lambiel go into 2nd? Lysacek has total of 220 pts...

YUP - firmly into 2nd...but way behind Plush...by almost 30 pts!!!

LAMBIEL

Man this is an ugly outfit. It's almost hard to look past it and see the performance
3A- doubles
Looking cautious, and slow
4T-3T-2L- perfeccct, much cleaner than in the short
3L-hangs on to the landing
2A
4T- puts a hand down, and flips out on the landing
3F-3T
3Lz-oooooooooooooo hard fall
3S-2T

He has opened the door for Johnny for the silver, and maybe even for Joubert, Takahashi, and Buttle for the bronze.

stepping in here (I usually lurk)...these commentators...I wish they would put these guys on NBC....you don't have to worry about missing the music because the commentators won't be quiet.

I <3 eurosport, wish I could get the video.

Jeff...please please PULEASE do NOT try the quad!

I agree! I also agree that Plush's program looked like he was making it up as he went along (boring). And I agree that Lambiel gets the rusty hanger for that costume. I had seriously hoped he would change it for Olys.

Johnny up now.
