Looks like this is the default choice for figure skaters once they retire.

Have you noticed how everyone in show business wants to be someone else? Actors want to direct, directors want to do stand up, comedians want to sing, singers want to do write scripts, sceenwriters want to play sports...

very true. But it looks like there are two main versions:

- Actors who want to sing

- Singers and athletes who want to act

Of course, there are many other variations. For example Carly Patterson the gymnast wanted to pursue a career in singing. (I even hear she got a record deal and a single is in the works. Sigh, whatever)

It makes perfect sense though...especially for figure skaters, gymnasts, ect....they peform for a living and I think the majority enjoy the spotlight.
(I think Carly signed with Jessica Simpson's dad)

It has been mentioned a few times about the "raw" Arakawa. I am wondering if that means her at "true self" or as a "crazy side."
