This is all off topic!

I have trouble staying on topic so thought, hey, how about an off topic subject. Just say what you want and we'll see where it goes. What would you like to say? This way I can answer you and not have to worry about staying in the topic.
:rollin: My mother told me once I was devious. Guess this proves it.

Well, there is something I've wanted to say on the boards for a while but the chance has never come up.

Wow, how about that Ryan Seacrest! ;)

Whenever I hear that someone died climbing Mt. Everest and that they left behind a family, my immediate reaction is not one of pity but of anger. I think of how selfish that person had to be to take such a risk when young children might be left behind. After all, there is no benefit to climbing this mountain other than to say "I did it." I do not, however, feel the same way about astronauts, because there is so much to be gained for all mankind by space exploration. When the last space shuttle exploded, I was absolutely devastated.

RG, I have the same feeling you do. It is just plain selfish.
It is really hard for me to comprehend why anyone would do such a thing when they have family.

Some of the women at work are wearing flip-flops and they are driving me nuts. Office attire has become so relaxed in the last couple of years.

Okay, big pet peeve of mine.......driving behind someone who takes an intersection turn at about two miles per hour. Unless your transporting a three-tiered wedding cake on your front seat, step it up a bit........ 42 (There, I feel much better).

I should have thought of pet peeves. People that are so slow after stoppping at a red light. I want to zoom.
No, I have never received a ticket.
Also, being forced to breathe someone's smoke. yuk It doesn't help that I'm allergic to it.

Whenever I show someone my grotesque apendectomy scar, I tell them that I went to Tiajuana for a sex change operation and they botched the job. Then, I tell them that I now can have sex on the side. Everyone, reply's the by saying that I am discusting. Then, they going on to tell me about I friend that they would just love for me to meet.

How long is your scar? One of mine is 10 inches. I can't even remember how many surgeries I've had. Somewhere between 14 and 17.

Oh lordy lordy, traffic pet peeves:

People that tear out of a shopping center at Mach 3 and then slam on the brakes and move at a crawl.

Not using signals (or blinkers, whatever you want to call them).

Honor Student Bumper Stickers.

....don't even get me started on the cell-phones while driving issues.

RealtorGal, I couldn't agree with you more about the mountain climbers/risk takers who have families. I've always been a daredevil adrenaline junkie, but my wants in that realm changed drastically after I got married and started a family. I agree too about the Columbia. I cried when I found out.

Do you know how they tell used cars are from Kansas? The turn signals have never been used.

Grandma
My scar is about 7 inches long. I was in the hospital for 8 days. I had the morphine pump for 7 of the eight days. I can't imagine what it must have been like when you had your appendectomy. BTW, the Simpsons are hysterical on Morphine.

I just moved 3 weeks ago. It's weird being in a new place. All you're things are there so it is familiar but, it's very weird not knowing where everything is. Kevin put most everything away so I have to ask. So, where do we keep the paper towels?

I know exactly what you mean! I've only been in this house seven YEARS, and my husband still asks me where we keep stuff! :D ;)

Daniel, just LOVED the scar story! :rollin: I was so proud of my C-Section scar, and a few months ago I was going to show it to RealtorGal Jr. but I couldn't find it! It's GONE! What a disappointment.

That one was my gall bladder scar. That's the sickest I have ever been. Had my tubes full of gravel and had to dredge them and had Cirrhosis of the liver. And I'm not a drinker!

Re: This is all off topic!

Oh yea! My appendix burst so the wound could not be closed. If it was closed it could have absesed (sp granny) so, the would was left open to heal naturally. I had to have a nurse come everyday and clean it out. You probablly have worse stories, having babies but I just needed to Tell it again.
I would also, like to add that we had spokes in my old appartment. It seems that have followed us here. I was making the bed the other day and the light bulb in the ceiling lamp blew up and I had broken glass all over my bed. It's a typical behavior theirs. Now that we know that they're here, they won't be as bothersome. Actually, they are not even scarry.
