Doronina, something Spanish in black lace and yellow

3L2T, tano lutz
3F, step out
2A out of spiral
FCSp, turnout, donut
SpSt, back coe B, fan, low, not held
CCoSp back to forw, cam, sit, B shaky, not held
LSp backward to sideward, b2h, B, not held

Rather nice program, with good posture and in character hand gestures

25.26/22/83=48.09

Ievleva, blues, in yellow

3R2T
3F or T, not sure
LSp, b2h, she is the first ever Russian skater to even attempt the
proper attitude position for the free leg
2A out of twizzle
SlSt,
CCoSp, cam, sit good and low, b2h,// Y good, but not held
SpSt, coe Y
FCSp, turnout

Complete makeover. She escaped Tchaikovskaya's camp for Gromova and it
suited her well. Granted, the program was easy (esp. if it was indeed
a toe, not a flip), but she skated it very well, with nice attack and
attitude

30.83/25.02=55.85

Volchkova, Tosca, in black and red

3L2T, very good
3F step out
2A turnout
FSSp, landed on both feet did not complete the element
SpSt, coe hB, bi good, towards
SlSt, slow
LSp
CCoSp

Slow, uninspired. She had an excellent start, but then the things just
fell apart.

20.96/26.19=47.15

Leonova, Jewish folk in cyan with gold trimming

SpSt, fan, coe nB, bi bB, nice flow
3F
3S fellout
FCSp, turnout, donut
CiSt, excellent character
LSp, side, back, b2h, B, fast
CCoSp

There must have been a 2A somewhere. Excellent character throughout,
but not enough power. Good "playful" presentation.

21.27/21.29=-1.00=41.56

Tertychnaya, in green, La Strada?

3L2T
3F fall, possibly ur
2A
LSp, side, b2h, B
SpSt, coe, good positions, but slow
FCSp
CiSt, nice, good use of upperbody
CCoSp, finished behind the music

She looks a lot like Slutskaya these days (she is also coached by
Gromova). Nice performance, but she did not seem to "get" her music.
I've seen her skating much better.

20.89/22.00=-1.00=41.89

Zhidkova

3F2T
2S
2S
FSSp, coe, twS
CiSt
LSp, side to back
SpSt, back coe Y, forw Y, bo classical
CCoSp, fellout of coe on the upright spin in the end

Good speed, but no expression, unrefined.

23.16/19.02/42.18

Martynova, Ottonal

3L2T, tight landing
A, opened in the air, nasty fall
1F
SpSt, coe, bi hB, fan, good speed and positions\
CCoSp, cam, sit, B, // sit, Y
CiSt, excellent flow
FCSp,
LSp

Good performance overall, but really weak jumps.

22.80/26,94=-1.00=48.54

Petushkova, Tosca in pink

3R2T
3F
FCoSp
SpSt, coe, bi hand held
2A out of spiral
CCoSp

There must have been a layback and step sequnece somewhere. She has
improved a lot since last year, but she is still very unrefined. It
really amazes me how otherwise good skater can have absolutely no idea
about the lines... If you wonder about low PCS scores, think of Mira
Leung.

25.05/21.14=46.23

Sokolova

3L2T
2R step out
FCSp
SpSt, coe, slow, low positions
LSp
SlSt
CCoSp

It was really weak and unispired

25.16/27.94=53.10

Stepanova, MidEastern

2L
3S2T, posss. ur.
FSSp, forward, good position
SpSt, coe back hB
1A
SlSt
CCoSp

Good positions in spins, soft hands, but very weak overall.

14.97/17.64=32.65

Gerboldt, MidEastern

2A fall
3L fall
3R ur 2R fall
FCCpS, turnover, donut\
SpSt
CCoSp
CiSt
LSp, b2h B

Well, at least she tried to sell it, however bad it was jumpwise

17.29/23.03=-3=37.52

Naidenova, MidEastern (really, 3 programs in a row is too much)

3R fall
3F2T, poss ur
1A
CCoSp, cam, sit, b2h // cam, sit
SpSt,
FCSp, donut, shaky
CioSt, slow
LSP, b2h, good lay back

No expression, no attack, no power

14.23/22.17=01-35,16

Kozyreva, Spanish

3R two-footed
3F
FCSp
SpSt, coe hB, fan
A popped to waltz jump
LSp to B
CCoSp

Excellent speed, attack, power and presentation. Shame about jumps, but
her PCS should have been higher.

20.09/23.77=43.86

A million thanks once again. Did Biktagirova pull out because of injury?

Nobody know, she and Smekhnova sort of "disappeared" from the starting orders and no one knows why. I try to find out tomorrow.

thanks

thanks very much! Looks like Russian ladies' discipline is in real trouble. Only one or two skaters even tried the most common sp jump layout of 3lutz(orflip)2toe, 3flip(3lutz) and 2A.

When the so-called future star - Martynova was not able to land one clean jump in sp, you know how dismal the event was.

Remember, it's a NATIONALS and the scores really can't be taken seriously.

But isn't this Cop supposed to be OBJECTIVE? Looks like those PCS marks are just like placeholders. So really, in the end makes no difference whether cop or 6.0 is used. I guess, though, that cop offers more feedback to the skaters, hence why they like it...?
