Men's SP is finished but no official results link yet. Sources at FSU are reporting the top 3 as: Takahashi, Oda, Gao.

This may be a crazy question, but I noticed that many countries sent multiple entries in the singles competitions, but the US only sent one each. Why? Also why was there no pairs or dance competition at Collegiate Nats? Was all this b/c of lack of funding? And does anyone know where Collegiate Nats will be held this year?

Answered one of my own questions: http://www.usfigureskating.org/event_details.asp?id=37175

What has happened for Tugba Karademir and Idora Hegel? Roxana Luca beat both of them at the SP

The Euros are already next week and I thought Karademir, and maybe Hegel too, might have been top ten candidates. I hope they just had a bad day and are going to skate better at Euros.

childfreegirl, I suspect the US only sends one to this competition because US Nationals immediately follow. Anyone with US Nationals ambition to make world team would refuse to go because of that. Japan sent their a-list men for the experience.

On one hand, I can understand that, but there have to be other skaters like Roth and Peters who may not have the best shot at making the top half of their field at Nats who would like the international experience. I just don't get it. :eek:hwell:
