My family is moving to Germany this summer. My eldest daughter is currently taking freestlye lessons and would like to continue learning this sport. We are moving to the K-town area, but would be willing to drive as far as Frankfurt. Does anyone know where she can go to continue with lessons? Thank you.

Is this a military PCS move?

If so, you might want to start at the The Skate Express on Vogelweh.

Yes we are with the military. I thought Vogelweh only had a roller rink(?).

Thank you. This is the best list we have seen so far. Now, we just need to be able to translate...my husband knows some German.

You are quite welcome!

Also, the Deutsche Eislauf-Union (German Figure Skating Federation) is the headquarter for all the "Eislaufverbände der deutschen Bundesländer" (Skating Unions of the German state countries). Every "Eislaufverband" is responsible for all ice-clubs and ice rinks in their area.

The Eislaufverband for your area would be the one below. So you might want to send them an email.

Rheinland-Pfälzischer Eislauf-Verband
Geschäftsstelle:
Herr Bernd Schicker.
Talstraße 21
66894 Bechthofen
Tel.: 06372 - 80 38 08
Fax: 06372 - 80 38 08

In addition, you could always find out if and what other families may be sending their kids to, as well as other info:

Good luck with your move!
