Yes - and the wrong spelling (Torvill vs. Torville) seems to be consistent concerning that fuchsia. ;-)

There is also a hybrid tea rose called "Torvill and Dean" (bred in England 1984 by Sealand Nursery). Description: large-flowered, pink and yellow, mild fragrance, the blooms are held strongly on a 3'-4' bush covered in leathery glossy leaves, vigour is excellent and the flowers cut well.

But I never found a picture of that rose....

Thanks for replying. I did not expect any response. Yes, I found the spellings for Torvill were different and never consistent. I would love to see that rose!

Princess Diana also has a rose named for her.

I think it is quite an honour to have a flower named after one. Quite a thing of beauty.

Very pretty. Do you have link for more information (i.e how to purchase, growing conditions, etc.)?? Thanks for posting.

That flower's really pretty. :) And Jayne's name is often spelled in a number of different ways, but the correct spelling is "Torvill".
