Well let's hope it has no impact on the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympics, but it could. The City of Vancouver is on strike and some of the outlying communities as well. For some there will be no garbage pick up, no swimming pools or community centre activities and even libraries are striking.
This is nothing new for Vancouver. It has happened before and it was a long one. This one could also drag on.
Some of the issues do involve the 2010 games. It will also tie up construction for roads and for the games.
It could be a long summer with garbage piling up on the streets of Vancouver. Last time people started dumping their garbage on city hall before it ended.
So if you are planning to visit Vancouver and the lower mainland any time soon beware!!!
