Keep trying. It took me awhile, but it finally worked.

Thanks, that was my mistake. I tried again and it worked. This coverage is free, right? If it's not, I just subscribed to icenetwork, which i do NOT want to do lol. Unfortunately, I missed the whole dance event, which is why I wanted to watch in the first place.:scowl:

It's for free. You don't need to subscribe. The website link is terrible. You have to find the 'watch live' thing and click...

:biggrin:Yes!!! Lenko/Islam moved up to 2nd place overall! And Ralph/Hill moved up to 5th, and 3rd in the OD. Wow. I mean, they're just out of novice. That's awsome. Great news for Canada!

ladies short now!

1. Miruku MATSUSHITA, JPN

3S+2T, 2Lo, 2A, clean program, but flexibility is lacking, some spin position is suspicious. 40.95 points.

2. Chloe DEPOUILLY FRA, 16 yo.
3S+2T, 2A fall, 2Lo. so, so. 33.80 points.

3. Charissa TANSOMBOON, THA
2A, 2lo, 2f+2t, good spin, good posture and good flow, very graceful. I like her the most so far, too bad her jumps are less difficult. 34.77 points

4. Charlotte BELAIR CAN
3lutz fall, 3lo, 2A. steps slow, 39 points.

5. Sigrid YOUNG TPE
2A, 3s fall, underrottaed maybe, 2lo, nice flow, nice speed, good basics, beautiful performance. Too bad jumps are weak. Nancy loves it.

group 2 practice.

Mirai nailed 2A, 3lo, popped a lutz jump. Looks like her consistency is a question mark with her growth spurt over the past few months.

Mirai,
3lutz+2t, 3lo, a little too foot, 2A. Excellent performance. 55.36 points.

Mirai did do a great job. I think she is off to a great start. Her layback is the best in the world. Her speed in that spin reminds me of Lucinda Ruh.

As far as the warm-up goes, her single Lutz looked rather intentional to me. A lot of times a skater will perform a single first in order to work out timing, etc.

I loved Alexe Gilles' program despite the fall. She seems musical and her combination was good. Can't wait to see more of her.

Oh, not bad for the Canadian girl Charlotte Belair. 6th place is respectable. Does anyone know what she fell on? Wow, good for the American girls though. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. They may just sweep the podium. Again.

I was kind of disappointed in Mirai today. After seeing that lovely number on Youtube, I guess I expected too much. But her win was genuine.

Gilles and Maxwell were new to me. Liked them both. Maxwell is like a bull in a china shop.

(whisper: Some of those Ladies wouldn't get near the podium in juvenile let alone in novice or intermediate.)

Joe, do a search for her on youtube. I saw a clip from a competition earlier this summer where she wasn't so "bullish".

I didn't see all the ladies short this afternoon, but I have to keep in mind that some of the countries don't have as strong a skating program as the US, Canada, etc with the coaches, facilities, etc. Even being assigned to an international event must be a victory for some of these skaters. I know I'd be thrilled.
