Parker Pennington, a 19-year-old from Hartford, Connecticut, is rapidly moving up the ranks in the United States. After winning the novice men's gold in 1998, he went bronze-silver-gold in juniors the next three years, before switching to seniors.

Here is yet another question to show my ignorance, but how are some skaters able to skate jr's and sr's? Is there an age limit for jr's?

Junior is a skating level (like Novice, Intermediate, Senior). There is an age limit, however. I think it is 19.

While I like the budding talent of Pennington, I think that Evan Lysacek is the one to watch at the Nats.

Lysacek is definitely the one to watch. Parker has potential too, IMO. Both of them will need to master at least one quad to be competitive on the international scene though.
