I thought it would just be easier to have one place where the new programs for the next season could be listed than to have them all over the place. Much easier to find IMO :)!

Edit: I've been thinking to do this for awhile, but I will start to collect all the information posted in this thread and put it here so that it will be easier to find; there will also be no need to worry about reposts. So here it goes.

On that note, McLaughlin and Brubaker have released information on next year's programs. Here's an article http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080424&content_id=47913&vkey=ice_news
SP: Malaguena
LP: West Side Story
Indeed. But they may get bumped into 2008-09 Events once it is activated.

Regarding McL/Bru - Nothing special about the music choices but they will do well with those. She is looking mature now and he is as cocky as ever. I like spunk.

These are perfect choices. I think that I recommended West Side Story for thier LP a few weeks ago, and I knew that they were gonna go with Spanish for the short. I can't wait for next season.

Hope the warhorse music works, but you can bet SandS will have new music never heard before and that's with whom they will be compared regardless of what CoP dictates. Z/Z and P/T are lyrical so the Tonight music will be comparable. All I am looking for is that McL/Bru become contenders after the Cleveland World. The Canadians are also in this contest.

I know! S & S rules! I know not many liked their choice of music this past season, but I commend them for trying something so original and so difficult. I loved their L'Oiseau!

Jenn Wester and Daniil Barantsev have selected their freedance music which is "Requiem for a Dream." I'm assuming that's the soundtrack for the movie which Brooke Castile and Ben Okolski skated to in 2007. I really like the music: it's very haunting. I think it's a really good change for Jenn and Daniil.

Here's a clip of the music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2Ma4BvMUwU

They also have a new exhibition to "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" which I think is by Roisin Murphy. I don't particulary like the song, but it sure is very different from current exhibition music. I think if they include really interesting and different choreography, I might like the music better.

I love Ramalama Bang Bang:love: great music:rock: I also love the program Wade Robson choreographed, for the group number on so you think you can dance:love: he choreographs some of the best stuff. I hope Jenn Wester and Daniil Barantsev do some great stuff with this.

I think the song choices are perfect for McLaughlin and Brubaker:clap: I cant wait to see what they do with them :agree:

I love "Requiem for a Dream"...it is a very heavy song, though. Dramatic and relentless. It definitely will be interesting to see what an ice dance team does with it.

Okay, I'm totally out of the loop, I guess, because I didn't know the "Ramalama" song. Someone's really going to skate to this? That, I got to see. It has a nice hook but after I watched several youtube vids of it, it started to annoy me! Might drive you a little nuts choreographing a skating routine (or a dance) to it.

Ooh I really like this choice! It's a very big change from this past season's FD. I think it's a good choice; shows versatility. Can't wait to see it.

Many score collectors I know ADORE Requiem For A Dream, it was easily one of the best scores in the year it was released. I can't wait to see them skate to it!

When will the dance teams know what the OD will be next season so that they can begin selecting music?

It has alredy been announced, I believe... the Roaring 20's, with music from the 30's and 40's accepted as well :)
