“Tatiana Tarasova commentated the U.S. nationals for Russian TV. She said she thought I won,....”
And so did so many people. Wish Johnny win back the US title in the up coming season!

Great article from Kathleen as always! Thanks for the link!

The fact that Viktor is a tech. specialist is a huge good thing for Johnny, considering that previously he used to make huge COP mistakes.

Great article, thank you.

I hope Johnny doesn't listen to Tatiana and continues to work harder. When someone tells someone they should've won it could end up messing with their head. Evan won. Deal with it and move on. Focus on the next Nationals and try to skate your best. Don't dwell on it anymore!

TAT said almost the same thing about GPF last year. She was so sure Daisuke won it fair and square. I still dwell on it.

I absolutely loved this article!!

At the conclusion of Weir’s summit with the Ukrainian troika, Zmievskaya stated bluntly, “You’re welcome to join, but you’ll be here to work. We won’t babysit.”

Weir was insulted. “There I was, leaving my coach of forever, and [Zmievskaya] chastised me as if I were a child. I knew enough,” Weir said laughing, “not to talk back to this lady.”
Johnny you better behave!!

although Skate America is a warm up for more important comps later, it should be watched to see if some misdemeaners have been cleared up. Johnny's quieted down in the past year and his performances have gotten better.

With Lambiel with his coaches, and Evan with his former mentor, it just may be the Battle of the Master Coaches.

Of course, there is still Daisuke, Nobunari, Shultheiss, Joubert, Voronov, and, of course, Buttle. hmmm. what do you think. I'm just going to wait and see.

former mentor?

What's this, Joesitz - news about Evan that wasn't published on GS?

I am seriously impressed that he has mastered Russian to such an extent. Russian is an extremely difficult language to master; I think this speaks very highly of Johnny's intelligence.

Interesting that he stated in the article he wanted a coaching relationship that was exclusive. It's not exactly exclusive anymore.

Thanks for posting; it's a good article.

Evan is in Moscow working on his new programs with TaT
This is the best news I've heard about Evan. Under Tatianna's coaching, I bet he won't have those jerky movements and flailing arms. I can't wait to see the program.

I used to like Johnny's skating a lot when he was with TAT. It seemed a match made in heaven. But her magic doesn’t work for everyone. I'll pay extra attention to Evan this upcoming season. I can't wait to see his new routines either.

Battle of the Legendary Coaches

So, I guess Johnny and Evan's supposed rivalry is upped in the anti by them each having a legendary Russian coach.
