No, N/B aren't going to Karl Schafer. The US teams there will be Maxwell/Traxler and Kriengkrairut/Giulietti-Schmitt.

N/B lost to Wester/Barantsev at a club competition this summer. Maybe they're re-tooling their programs.

Ladies field is not to shabby.

We got Gerboldt, my favorite female Russian right now. The Pre-European battle between the talented Finns and Meier with Gedevanishvili always in the mix. Also be nice to see how our US ladies will fair.

I do hope there will be youtubes of the Kerrs!:love::love:

I heartily concur! Cannot wait to see their 'daring' new dance, as they've called it.
Patience may be a virtue...but it is one I increasingly lack as the season comes closer every day.

Ack. They're slow with the updates. Thank you for the links, however! :)

The womens competition looks great. I'm interested to see if McCorkell can stay consistent. If Gerboldt has made any improvements and of course the Finland V Meier battle.

I had to check who Takahito Mura is. Must have been quite a program. Is anybody else in favour of 5 spots for the US- and Japanese guys at Worlds and Olympics?

It's great to see Akiko Suzuki do so well. It's so hard to be in her position, with stiff competition from Mao Asada, Miki Ando, and Yukari Nakano to represent Japan internationally. If she was from any other country, save for maybe USA, she'd get two GP's, and attend both 4CC/Europeans and Worlds.

At least she gets to go to NHK this season. I don't want any of Mao, Miki, or Yukari not skate to their potential or get injured, but if anything happens, hopefully she'll finally get to attend Worlds. She will soon turn 24, time is running out for her!

Wow. The Men's result has Mura (Japan), Nurmankari (Finland) and Rogers (USA)

Weird. I would have thought v.d.Perren, Voronov, and maybe Rogers.

The LP may tell us more.

Happy to see Mura having a good start (though we don't know what awaits the skaters in the free) after a disappointing Jr. Worlds at the end of last season, but not so happy to see that Poykio's TES. I hope she is free of the back pain from last season and will bounce back in the free program.

Also, what happened to Lutai? His TES seems extremely low for him.

Hmmm ok, it looks like Lutai did 3A (fall), 3T, 3Lz-3T, where I suppose he had probably planned 3A, 4T-3T and 3Lz. It looked lik his second 3T was underrotated and that could be the reason for the low mark.
