The rosters are up at

Some reminders:

Canadian entries are not official until they are confirmed on the Skate Canada website.

The Japanese ladies entries may also be subject to change.

The second US lady has yet to be decided, and so is the second Dance team.

I wonder if Tenile Victorsen competed in other events after the Golden West championships and what the results were.

Tenile's competitive history:
http://www.tracings.net/vict-teni.html

Tenile Victorsen finished 11th at US Nationals as a Senior, right behind Becky Bereswill, who's already won two silver medals in the JGP and clinched a spot in the JGPF. Tenile finished ahead of Chrissy Hughes (competing at Nebelhorn), Danielle Kahle (scheduled for Finlandia) and Molly Oberstar (scheduled for Karl Schafer). It seems entirely fair to me that Tenile was given the JGP spot in Sheffield.

I feel sorry for Marissa Secundy but I hope she realizes that the former Novice Champ, Angela Maxwell, was also left out of a second JGP last year, and how well she is doing this year.

Other interesting competitors:

Amodio (France)
Gachinsky; Gregoriev (Russia)

Shoko Ishikawa; Yuka Ishikawa (Japan)

Nothing very special in Pairs and Danced that I am familiar with.

Shoko Ishikawa replaces Yuki Nishino in Capetown and competes alongside Rumi Suizu.

Yuki Fujisawa, who scored big and won in Ostrava, will compete in Sheffield.

We don't know yet who will go with Yuki, because it depends on how well Imai and Muramoto skate in Belarus next week. Probably the highest scorer of Murakami (11 points in Madrid), Imai and Muramoto will get the second Sheffield spot.

Not that I'm aware of. It is my understanding that Victorsen's competition readiness monitoring included the Glacier Falls Summer Classic in early August in which she scored 83+ in the FS and close to 125 overall (side note: Laney Diggs scored 77 at Glacier Falls, which was probably her lowest FS score of the summer).

Slightly off-topic: Karen Zhou, also a U.S. JGP alternate, was just assigned to her first senior international, Finlandia Trophy, as published on USFS' Assignments page yesterday.

It took a little while for little bro, Rockne, to get it going for him.

You HAVE to be kidding. Rockne was a big winner right from the getgo.

Rockne teamed up with Mariel Miller in 2003:
2003-2004:
1st, 2004 US Novice Sectionals
2nd, 2004 US Nationals, Novice
1st, Triglav Trophy, Juniors

2004-2005:
1st, JGP Courchevel
2nd, JGP Harghita
3rd, JGPF
1st, 2005 US Nationals, Junior
4th, 2005 Junior Worlds

2005-2006:
1st, JGP Slovakia
1st, JGP Bulgaria
3rd, JGPF

They split up right after the JGPF because Mariel had become too tall for Rockne to lift and throw safely.

Rockne teamed with Keauna McLaughlin in the spring of 2006.
2006-2007:
2nd, JGP HUN
1st, JGP TPE
1st, JGPF
1st, 2007 US Nationals, Junior
1st, Junior Worlds

2007-2008
2nd, Cup of China
2nd, NHK Trophy
GPF - 5th after SP, withdrew due to Rockne's foot infection.
1st, 2008 US Nationals, Senior

They could not go to Senior Worlds because Keauna was too young, or to Junior Worlds because Rockne was too old.

As you can see, Rockne started out with a bang with his first partner, and with Keauna, took up right where he left off with Mariel.

BTW, Rockne is 22 and Collin is 19. ROCKNE is the big brother.

Miiler was not Rockne's first partner. He had maybe two prior. One briefly before Miller(also from Denver not sure what happened there, but a quick change of partners happened) and at least one prior to that. I think :)

Brubaker competed at the Novice level for one season with Stephanie Freitag. They didn't make it to 2002 Nationals (placed 5th at Novice Sectionals) and split right after that. Brubaker teamed with Mariel Miller in 2003.

There was someone in between,. a girl Britta? .They never competed together. Coach Sappenfield spotted them skating, at same time Miller skating with old partner, and things changed.

If Britta and Rockne never competed together, then they were never officially a team---in effect, they were a failed tryout.

Depends if you were Britta or Rokne doing the interpretation.

Whatever.

With Mariel, Rockne has won 3 JGP gold medals, a JGP silver medal and 2 JGPF bronze medals

With Keauna, Rockne has won 2 JGP gold medals, a JGPF gold medal, a JW Championship and 2 GP silver medals.

What has Britta done lately?

I miss Doris' previews. Are these the three team we should see on the podium?

Chock/Zuerlein
Aganova/Dun
Routhier/Sacke-Lascelle

Anyone else?

Pushkash/Kiselev. The Russians have always had 2 or 3 dance teams in the Final, and right now, only Riazanova / Guerreiro are confirmed (Antipova / Kudashev are on the bubble). There will be a huge push to get P/K on the podium, preferably second or better.

But C/Z, with a gold medal, can make the final even if they finish 4th.

The dance preview will be up later today!

But if you're going to list Routhier Saucke-Lacelle as a possible, you should not forget Lorenza ALESSANDRINI / Simone VATURI
who finished 3rd at Merano ..
