Zaretskis just skated and moved into 4th. Hann-McCurdy and Coreno lying in 6th. Cap/Lan first The favorites still to skate ... Meryl and Charlie up next, then K/N and DomShabs.

To clarify -- I don't have any feeds to watch, I'm just monitoring the ISU results site.

ETA: And Meryl and Charlie into first over Cap/Lanotte by 3+ points.

Right now it's

Davis/White
Cap/Lan
Zad/Verb

K/N and DomShabs to go.

Fun talking to myself <s>!

K/N moved into first over D/W by half a point.

And DomShabs taking a COMMANDING lead.

I just woke up = [
But I managed to catch the end of DomShabs and I guess Linichuk really likes the men on her teams to wear white in the Viennese- Ben did and so did Maxim. Much better costumes this time around, and they looked lovely from what I saw.
I managed to see the top 3 scores
DomShabs: 38.77
Khokhski: 36.19
Davis/White: 35.77

It's very, very close for 2-3. I don't know what CapLan got, but I'm assuming it was good.
Tomorrow will be very interesting.

I saw the last group- kind of sleepy so these are just impressions.

Cappellini/Lanotte: Nice and easy stroking though I think he might have had a miscue on a step and not switched it over to the correct side in the correct time to the music. He corrected it but when they got off the ice- she looked very upset and it wasn't until their scores came up that she loosened up a bit.

Zaretskis: They were fighting the dance the whole way- extensions were kind of disjointed. It's always sad to see a team who know that they're slipping in the standings badly but the harder they try the harder it is to make the movement smooth.

Davis/White: Meryl looked like a fairytale princess- lovely cream dress with long ballet net skirt that swept along with her movement and hair up but in a loose low upswept kind of style- like a modified Gibson girl. There was a bit of a wait befor e their names were announced. Their waltz was solid- good extension on the free leg but I felt that Charlie kept turning his head and looking for their positioning on the ice I could be wrong about that though.

Khokhlova/Novitski: Same costuming as CoC. Nice flow and movement across the ice but I noticed a gap between their bodies at certain points that I didn't seem to notice at CoC. I felt that they were more confident in this waltz at CoC. This flower girl came up to them in the middle of their bows and stood there with a bouquet of flowers. Jana warm-heartedly gave her a big hug before continuing on with their bows. :)

Domnina/Shabalin: Different all white costumes. You're right lmarie- his costuming looks quite a bit like Ben's white waltz tux. They were tall, confident, and strong in their waltz presentation. Though his leg extension didn't quite match hers at times. They are out in front by a pretty good lead- if it's like TEB I don't think they will be caught even if others lead in other parts of the competition.

Just wanted to let everyone know the CD is now available on-demand on icenetwork.

Only problem is it seems to have no sound...

Keep an eye on the European video boards. I know that videos were made of British Eurosport, and they surely will be there in a bit. (No I didn't make them)

Is Sphilband emphasizing CDs more than he used to?
"But we improved a lot on the Paso this year, so it’s hard to say which one we prefer. We’ve been working a lot on the Waltz since Skate Canada. We’ve been spending more time on compulsories this year”, Davis commented.

If so, it's working well for them. That was a great Viennese. Not perfect, but alot better than I had expected. And more work with the CDs will make them stronger in the areas they've needed to concentrate on.
