47.91 for Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre with one point deduction... into 2nd place.. They seemed to be a little shcoked and disappointed

Samuelson/Bates: She had a stumble on the midline step...but I really enjoyed that dance! 50.92 into 2nd place

Pechalat/Bourzat...ok, but not really convincing 54.27..commentator said "Oh, that's soo much!"

1. On Eurosport they said she must have caught an edge. it wasn't on anything difficult - just bad luck.
2. Yes. There are already five teams on 26 or higher, and I can't imagine F/S won't join them. P/B need to win.

The results for me are almost perfect the way I saw the comp.
Ms Faiella did trip and it did look that it was caused by a rut. They were fun to watch otherwise, but Pechlalat/Borzat are so good. I wish they weren't doing the clown thing for the LP

Interesting to see the TES rule most of the placings.
Once again the younger teams are getting to TES that some of the more experience teams are struggling to get. Gorshkova/Butikov get that honor here.
It's not a good sign for P&B to get PCS that are closer to at team that just recently came into seniors (S&B) than to the team they finished just two spots behind at worlds and even had a mistake. (F&S)

What'd NavBom get a deduction for?
According to the score sheet, they had an extended lift. One thing I noticed about this particular outing was that they were really attacking everything-- trying to go faster in the twizzles and really making the technical part of the dance better. I'm glad since I've always found their presentation great-- they bring a mature, laid back, sensual quality to their on-ice presence that's wonderful to see.
