I think Artur updated his jump layout... But I am worried about his combo jump, because I think he‘s not good at combination Jump and usually had not good enough landing for the first jump...

And I have a question that , I read an article said Tom Dickson went to Russia this summer to choreograph Mishin's pupils, Gachinsky and Lutai's programs, but the bio of Artur on ISU showed somebody else do his program...

Didn't he use Tom Dickson's choreography?

Balde - good skate, almost fell on 3A. Suprised by low score. Possible downgrades and I think his circular steps were less complicated.

Ten - fantastic 3A. 3F-step out-2T. 3Lz. Crowd loves him. Despite the mistakes, I think he should be first.

Bariev - great skate. Awesome 3F+3T and 3lz. Only has 2A. Good presentation and musical interpretation. Crowd likes it. Spins are slow, though; he does the Biellman and donut.

He only did 3F-turnout-2T. I suspect it might have been judged as 3F+COMBO.

Amodio - fantastic. 3S+3T, 3Lz, 3A. Great musicality. I will be shocked if that doesn't lead.

Those guys are great...

Artur: hmm, he looks like the blonde version of Borudulin. Lots of those Russian junior skaters tend to look similar now - especially their footwork. Are his landings always this wild or was he just nervous? He is very young, a 3A at that age is not too bad at all.

Balde: after the reign of Sandhu, then Buttle and now Chan with Sawyer in the mix - Balde seems like a refreshing change from your current typical "Canadian". I definitely enjoyed the show, loved that catchfoot-layback at the end, the 3-3 looked huge with loads of power - 3A obviously needs some work. But I liked it. And the scores are so close right now - I don't think it really matters that he is in 4th right now...

Ten: wow. First of all, I just realised that the guy can already book his trip to Vancouver, there is just nobody else in Kazhachstan. Too bad that he can't go to Worlds this year as far as I know (13th of June is not enough, is it?). Incredible 3A, love it! Nice spins, good footwork. I would prefer a bit more flow over the ice.

Bariev: horrific music. But a clean program, some nice moves in there. But something is missing (except for the 3A of course). I don't know. Wasn't a big fan of the costume either...

[Amodio will get his share of love letters in Korea, the audience loved him - judges not so much, nearly 40 on TES but lowballed on PCS - if this American without 3A gets more now - I am really mad]

Johnson - another great skate. 3F+3T, 3Lz, 2A. Lyrical skater. A few shaky moments in the straightline steps and a small stumble going into the camel spin but recovered well. It went by very fast.

Gotta hand it to the men, they're skating quite well today.

Looking good for the French men this year!
