God........Domnina and Shabalin just bore me through this program......No speed whatsoever

So Tanith and Ben withdrew due to illness? I wonder what happened I hope that they are ok, Nationals are going to be a REAL FIGHT!!!! And this is just going to push Davis/White further in to threatening for the title.
Anyways, I am glad the Italians are last, to be honest I do not like their skating at all.
I just caught glimpses of Dom/Shab, I have never been a fan of their skating, but their FD was slow, and other than the lifts I did not see any technical prowlness

Keep in mind I'm watching the choppy Justin.tv feed so they may have looked faster too me.
nope...they were slow.
PJ Kwong (ice network commentator) repeatedly said they were slow...SLOW!

I'm probably in the minority, but I actually enjoyed F/S. I thought the scores should have been closer between D/W and F/S.
D/S...well, I don't know. They try their best to be dramatc, especially Domnina with her overwrought expressions, but somehow it still wasn't dramatic enough for the music. It might be because they repeat the main theme too many times. Somehow I think both D/S and B/A would do better if they swapped music.
DelSchoes also just finished. Not fond of the music because there's nothing for them to interpret there, but just fabulous lifts and wonderful edges and line in their step sequences. Should go into first by a margin.

Nothing in particular against them, but D/S are just so overmarked. Their scores should be closer to Faiella/Scalli than Delobel/Schoenfelder. And even then, F/S were cleaner than they were and IMO more enjoyable.
Wished I could have seen B/A though.

I don't know alot about the Dancing scoring, but I thought the athleticism of D/W outshown D/S. So much more actual skating, edges, dance holds. Plus, the music for D/S YIKES.
Am I crazy? I know they seed the teams based on their history, are the judges saying to D/W "Wait your turn"? What gives?

Another overmarked, over-rated, Russian team built up by the Russian Federation which is cheap knock off, of a cheap knock off, of a cheap knock off of something 20 years ago the USED to be beautiful.

Yeah! Del/Schoe won! Now they don't have to call themselves "Only-Worldchampions-because-Russians-weren't-there" anymore. 
Good thing Del/Schoe stayed, the Olympic medal seems probable right now. I love their FD though I don't know anything about ice dance. Their FD und the Kerr's FD are my favourites of the season. Plus - their costumes got style. Her dress is so beautiful and his subdued outfit is great as well.

I almost feel like the placements don't count because we've gone into the twilight zone with all the withdrawals and enormous scores for sub-par execution (Yes- I mean Dom/Shab).
D/W- skated well technically but somehow not quite as much emotional punch as previous skates but good job for pulling up in that way. Though they had major help with 2 teams withdrawing so who knows what will really happen when Nationals and Worlds comes around.
Dom/Shab- slow, slow, slow. They placed because of their presentation but even so. Meh!!
Del/Scho- I've been a slow convert to this program and I'm glad they placed above Dom/Shab. It's a subtle program with the difficulty and creativity hidden. Strong skate.
A random thought popped into my head-- I wonder if B/A are going to go running back to Igor and Marina at the end of this season?!! I think it would be a really good possibility.
So funny PJ Kwong on IN needs to turn off her mike because we can hear her gossiping with a friend (seems like a fan giving her a gift). Seems like there's food poisoning or stomach flu going around- she comments that a few judges have it too. She wants Yuna to win today. Omigod- turn off your mike.
