Starts today!

A show worthy of attention, as a lot of skaters will debut their new (gala) programs.

Miki looks amazing. Nobu's costume looks great as well! I wonder if it's a new Gala outfit, or did he borrow it from some other skater..? :) ETA: He appeared in this costume only during the opening of the show. The real Gala costume is even more worthy of attention. :p

Short notes about the performances:
Miki - intense steps and beautiful movements, :)
Nobu - landed triple axel and 3 triple jumps, comical program that made the audience enthusiastic,
Fumie - fell on 3F, the program had a mature atmosphere,
Akiko - kept making mistakes on jumps, but her skating was beautiful,
Yukari - landed 3-2-2 :)

Argh. Some photos were reorganized and the links no longer work or point to different pics.
Here are the main photo sites:

All the photos I linked should be linked there. The one with Stephane:

(He's in the background, between Miki and Fumie)

Where is Lambielino?:)

The show just ended, so there are not that many photos yet and the media concentrate mostly on Miki/Nobunari ("Sexy & Comical" was the title of some of the news ). They should cool down by tomorrow and hopefully post something more.

Squee! (did I just squee?) Robin and Aliona are there. But what are they wearing ? What is the theme of that program? And isn't that the third or fourth new exhibition in half a year?

Different costumes in another picture. Or more like black pants with white shirts, but I prefer that to the circus ones.

That's awful. Are those Faeilla/Scalli's FD outfits, picked up at an end-of-season discount? No, it can't be, because F/S had the colors the other way, right?

Good thing Nathalie and Fabian are still using their costumes, I don't think Aliona could have gotten away with that skirt .

Anyway, it looks like everyone had fun, which is good.

Okami , thank you!
A breath of fresh air in all the philosophical off-season discussoins :p

Miki does look amazing, she's a very beautiful young woman.
But I guess I'm the only one who thinks her custom too much? The red bra with the black net …

No you're not. I almost thought she switched to ice dancing.....with Morozov.
But she has one gorgeous face! She sort of reminds me of Shibasaki Kou.

I don't like this costume at all, it looks weird... To be honest I'm tired of these similar Miki's exhibitions numbers, I want her to try something not pop,rnb style.

I really like Miki's new outfit (I love the gloves and leg warmers) and program (or at least what I've seen from it so far). I thought it was very different - Miki usually goes for female-balladish type of pop (or classical music, like La Poema or Bolero). This looks more like hip-hop to me - more fun and funky, with a lot more of Miki's personality showing through. Very different step sequence, too - reminding me a bit of Sasha or Mao.

It looks like Nobunari found a great vehicle for his talent for entertainment. He looked great - what I love about his comic programs is that he never just goofs off - his programs are still exceptional in terms of skating skills and jumping ability. I loved the scissors spin and funny variation of the besti squat. And how gutsy to go for 3A (and land it) in an off-season show!

I think Miki is really lovely but that costume is not what I want to see her in. Maybe I'm just a prude.

The "shocking" costume, worn in the opening act, and in her program to the music of "Bring in Da' Noise, Bring in Da' Funk", is so way beyond our normal sense that it's not even sexy at all on stage, she looks like an animated polygon blowing everyone out with her fists in shooting gloves.

And don't worry folks.
Miki had prepared 2 gala programs; the second one she performed in the last 2 shows of the 4 during the 3 days of DOI.

And this second one is skated to Requiem by Mozart, in a very chic and elegant black costume.

I attended the evening show, and Miki, who skated last to this Gothic-oriented music, was bone-shivering good !!!!!
Standing ovation...full house !

My guess is that this number is dedicated to her late father, premiered on Father's Day.

The "funky" program will be aired on Fuji-TV next saturday.
This one is also really cool and exiting according to those who attended the first two gigs.

ETA: Everyone skated really good, including Dice Murakami(crispy), Nana(cute skating with full of smiles), Yukari(very well choreographed), Fumie(she does act! veeery impressive !!), Yukina(refined elegance), Akiko(expressive as ever), Verner(brought the house down!), Lambiel(exquisit!), Nobu(comical and energetic).... can't list them all...Pairs and Ice Dance Couples were all breath taking too.

ETA2: Miki skated her "Requiem" in Ice Jewelry show and this will be aired on July 26th on MRO-Hokuriku TV.
