Wow, this young couple is *amazing*! How old are they? They look so little! They are both very expressive and natural performers, have good lines and skating skills. The throws are impressive and is that twist a triple? Obviously need to work on their solo jumps and lifts, but they seem *very* young.

He might be the best-looking (on ice) male Chinese skater that I have ever seen. Great posture and lines.

I can definitely see them medal in the JGP's.

Wenjing Sui/Cong Han beat Dong/Wu and Zhang/Wang, win the gold of pairs' skating.

Totally loved them and their program; great speed and they are musical. I was starting to think we won't see any good chinese after present three pairs and was disappointed by Dong/Wu and Zhang/Wang. But these two are great and would like to see how they perform at JGP.

Only concern was the chaplin move, though they did well. The move inevitably reminded me of Sikharulidze and that wonderful program of theirs, i am not sure a comparison to that program will be helpful at this early stage in their career. (it's an old habit, i can not be 100% positive)

I, too, couldn't help but think of Berezhnaya & Sikharulidze when I watched this Chaplin program, but overall I enjoyed it and they were impressive. Great throws, including the throw 3S at the very end of the program. She is so itty bitty! It's good, though, that she's so tiny right now because he's only listed as shy of 5'7". Obviously, they need work and it remains to be seen how their sbs jumps develop, but for 14 and 17, that was very well done.

awwww....they are adorable. They just look like little more than children though. I can't believe he is that old. Of course I am a sucker for Chaplin music, but those throws...pretty awesome.

They really are charmers and yeah, love Chaplin music :p
Her flexibility and posture is really impressive-- and I love that first throw where after she lands she flows right into another pose.
Well, I guess until Toth & Zhang improve their high risk elements I think I've got a new favorite junior pairs team!

The complex choreography and transition of their skating put many senior pair teams into shame. Their speed is also very impressive. The only uncertaities that will derail them from being competitive are whether they can develop sbs triples and whether he can grow taller.

It's said they're being coached by Bin Yao's former partner.

Thanks for posting these, and welcome and congratulations on your first post at Golden Skate!

Post long, post often!

If they grow, they still have the makings of great ice dancers! That SP was a heck of a folk OD :)

Very nice. I like how musical they are; that's something that I don't think really can be taught, especially with a pairs team. They seem to have good chemistry.
Really great throws too.

Jinlin in fifth...hmm, so no chance of him getting sent to 4CC then, I guess. Hopefully he starts to land 3As next season.

Chao Yang should go instead of Jialiang Wu. Wu has been a mess the last 2 seasons and has already been given too many opportunities. Yang is a much better skater with better results this season.

ZhangZhang are going , I guess to test the new recycled SP.

Congrats to Yan Liu! I hope she will skate a 7-triple program in Vancouver just like she used to back in the days. But what happened to the promising young ladies? Seems like Bingwa Geng and Kexin Zhang (am I confusing her with the gymnast He Kexin?) are struggling.
