Mira Leung - any news? can she make the Olympic Team? whats happening with Mira??

:indiff: :indiff: anyone know if Mira will be at Nationals this year, does she have a fighting chance of making it to Vancouver?? :indiff: :indiff: or is Cynthia Phaneuf the one?

She did qualify for Nationals but just barely - she finished 12th in the long program at the Challenge. Cynthia or Amelie will get the second spot.

Not necessary, I think Mira has good chance for the second spot because of her consistence in her jumps.

Cynthia has always have a jumping problems and has some difficulty to keep her jumps landing. If Cynthia push herself to do 2 great program in canadian championship , it's ok that she earn the spot but if she have an other bad skating for this competition, I prefer that Mira Leung be the second spot.

Even with Cynthia's total meltdown at Skate Canada she still beat the score that Mira got at the Challenge. Mira hasn't competed internationally in a year and at Nationals she is going to have to beat out Phaneuf, Lacoste, Samson, Charbonneau, Szmiett - three of who weren't even at the Challenge.

The judges were very stingy with +GOE and PCS. Mira's PCS scores from this competition look very much like her international PCS scores used to be. This does not bode well for Mira at Nationals.
