Yes, all of the top 4 teams had errors. Den/Stra and D/L had bobbles, Del/Shoe had a fall in a lift, I believe, and Tanith and Ben had a mistake in one of their twizzles. That said, they could have moved into 3rd overall if they had been clean, because their technical score was great. But, they have a great shot in the free dance, so will see...

Their TES is actually slightly higher than De&St.

I think at this point the only near-certainty is that De&St whould win, provided they don't make any major mistakes in FD. De&Sc, B&A, D&L can all come out any which way.

Is Kulikova any relation to Ilia Kulik? Is this a common name in Russia?

"Kulik" means a kind of a bird. Just looked it up in the dictionary -- the English translation is "sandpiper". I would not say it's as common as "Smith", but it's common enough. Also, "Kulik" and "Kulikova" are actually different names, the male version of "Kulikova" would be "Kulikov".

Having now seen the OD on TV, I am really confused.

B/A went into the OD in 4th place after the CD. They skated very well, with no major errors, but finished 3rd in the OD behind DelShoes, who had a fall on a lift, which is a required element.

Considering that B/A won gold and silver in their two scoring events, and DelShoes, two bronze, how does this compute?

I think B/A were victims of Sekret Komputer Selektion at Lalique. Check out the detailed scores for the CD and OD and you will see what I mean.

For one thing, in the OD, DelShoes got a -1.18 GOE for the fall on their required lift, even though 6 judges gave it a -3, three a -2, and two a -1. It seems as if the -3s weren't selected.
